Paige Mazurek is a multidisciplinary artist. Her work considers joy and pleasure within the everyday, drawing inspiration from observations within the American landscape and her own personal history. Memory, both individual and collective, is a continuous thread throughout her body of work. In 2011, she earned a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts + Tufts University and in 2019 she earned a graduate certificate in audio storytelling from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at the Maine College of Art. Most recently, her work has screened internationally at Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival, Bogotá Experimental Film Festival and nationally at the Brattle Theater in Cambridge, MA. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Watermill Center in New York and at the Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Maine. She is originally from Baltimore, Maryland and currently based in Providence, RI.
this site is dedicated to my studio practice. some of my other work includes creating immersive, multimedia experiences for educational platforms with storytelling and social responsibility at the heart. over the past decade, I have used my background in photography, video, sound and the web to help innovate projects like the MIT Case Study Initiative and the Southeast Chicago Archive & Storytelling Project.
